mixed prawn vegetable noodles


On a pan add some oil and fry the prawns until they are tender and cooked.transfer it to other plate.now stir fry two eggs and keep it aside.boil the noodles with salt in boiling water.strain it when done.boil your choice of veges in water and strain.add oil in a heated wok and add minced garlic,onions,sliced green chili and red chilies.fry them until you get a smell of garlic.now add the prawn and the veges.add some salt.add the eggs.fry for some more time.now add the boiled noodles and add some soya sauce.mix well.add some more salt if needed.add some sugar too.fry well.serve.u can spread some melted butter over the hot noodles.

Kachamoricher misti aachar (sweet pickle of green Chilies)


  1. green Chilies(red and Green coloured mixed) half kg
  2. raw green mangoes 10
  3. ginger sliced 1 teaspoon
  4. red chili sliced 3
  5. sugar half kg
  6. salt 2 tea spoon
  7. white vinegar 1 cup
  • cut the chilies in half lengthwise and take away the seeds.
  • cut the mangoes.
  • dry these mangoes and chilies in the sun for about one day.
  • mix all the ingredients.
  • cook them until they become sticky and condensed.
  • u can adjust the masalas according to your taste.

Tandoori Elish


  1. Hilsha Fish uncut and whole 1
  2. Sweet curd 4 Table Spoon
  3. Sour Curd 4 Table Spoon
  4. Red Chili Flakes 1 table Spoon or as much as you wish
  5. Salt as required
  6. Tandoori Masala 1 teaspoon
  7. Dhania Powder 1 teaspoon
  8. Ginger Paste one fourth teaspoon
  9. Mustard Oil 4 table Spoon
  10. Lemon Juice 1 table spoon
  11. Butter 2 Table spoon

1.remove the scales of the fish and also its intestines.
clean the head too.wash it well.
2.make slits on the both side of the fish.
3.mix all the ingredients except the butter and lemon juice.
4.add the masala mixture to the fish and marinate it in the refrigerator for 2 hours.turn the fish one or two more times.
5.add two cups of water to the fish and set on low flame.let it be cooked.make slits on a handful of green chilies and add to the gravy.
6.when the water dries up remove it from the heat and set it on the baking tray.
7.brush the fish with the butter and lemon mixture and bake it for 20 mins in 250 degree centigrade.
8.can add sliced cucumbers,tomatoes and onions while baking and have them with the fish.
9.you can also serve french fries with it.

have it with Pulao,Rice or paratha.

Desi Style Fish and Chips




  1. Fish fillet 8 pieces
  2. Shan Fish seasoning mix
  3. 2 lemon
  4. Gram flour as you need to make smooth paste
  5. Oil for frying
  • mix seasoning in lemon juice and marinate fish for 20 min.
  • heat up oil….add gram flour paste just before frying.
  • after frying serve this crispy fish with French fries.

Tamarind Pickle

Tamarind Green Chilies Pickle



  1. green and red chilies half KG
  2. Tamarind with the seeds 1 cup
  3. Mustard Seeds 1 teaspoon
  4. Dhania 1 Teaspoon
  5. Panchforon 1 table spoon
  6. salt as per taste
  7. ginger paste half teaspoon
  8. Garlic Paste 1 teaspoon
  9. Turmeric Paste Half Teaspoon
  10. Red Chili Powder 1 teaspoon
  11. sugar 1/3rd Cup
  12. White Vinegar Half Cup
  • wash the Chilies.dry them under a fan.
  • dry roast the mustard seeds, Dhania, Panchforons and ground them into a powder.
  • heat the oil.
  • add sliced Garlics and Panchforons to the oil.
  • add ginger paste,garlic paste,turmeric paste,red chili powder to the oil and fry them for sometime.
  • now add the sugar,salt and the tamarind to the oil.
  • now fry them for sometime.add the green chilies and the White Vinegar to it.
  • cook it.stir continuously,until the tamarind seem to be well mixed and the chilies a little cooked.
  • when the oil seems to be separated from the chilies and tamarind,add the grounded masala powder.
  • remove it from the heat,mix well.
  • in another pan heat some mustard oil.add some panchforon and turmeric powder.
  • now pour the oil on a dry jar.pour all the pickles into the jar.pour the rest of the oil.
  • u must keep it in sun from time to time.the pickle will ripen and it is not ready to be eaten before 1 week.
